“Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium and Magnesium Plant” JSC


In 1999 titaniferous mineral reserves were approved at "Satpayevsk" deposit in East-Kazakhstan Region. Geological exploration at this deposit was financed by “UKTMP” JSC.

In 2000 on the base of "Satpaevsk" deposit with involvement of "UKTMP" JSC there was established a joint mining venture “Satpayevsk Titanium Mines Ltd LLP”.

In 2004 by the decision of the Board of Directors of “UKTMP” JSC there started designing works and in 2005 a construction of the processing plant at the open-pit side near the village Koytas in Kokpekty region.

In November 2005 the processing plant was put into operation.

The capacity of the plant is designed to process 264 tons of ore sand per year.  Performance of the plant on final product - ilmenite concentrate is 14 000 tonnes per year.

In April 2014 “UKTMP” JSC becomes the sole member of “Satpayevsk Titanium Mines Ltd”LLP and decides to rename the enterprise to "“Satpayevsk mining and concentrating enterprise” LLP

 As a result of the project realization “UKTMP” JSC is now fully integrated enterprise with its own mineral resource base of Kazakhstan titanium raw material.
