Council of veterans

Results of 2015.

As of January 01, 2016, 1620 pensioners are registered in the UKTMP Veterans Board, including:

- 8 people – participants of the Great Patriotic War;

- 373 people – war workers;

- 1239 people – veterans of work.

The staff of UKTMP Veterans Board  consists of 28 people:              

4 people – core group of UKTMP Veterans Board, 24 people – members of UKTMP Veterans Board.

Structure of UKTMP Veterans Board:

- Chairman of UKTMP Veterans Board;

- Deputy Chairman of UKTMP Veterans Board;

- specialist on accounting of expenses on social benefits;

- specialist on staff accounting.

UKTMP Management continuously provides material assistance to UKTMP pensioners, including:

- charity for Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, International Day for the Elderly and for anniversaries;

- denture treatment;

- medical services and operations;

- funeral costs;

- others.

The following veterans: Nurtazin S.A. and Yashenko P.A. were awarded with Honorary Certificate of the Central Republican Board “Organization of veterans” during the 50th anniversary ceremony of UKTMP. Lavrov V.B., Mukhamadiev T.A. and Saydiev K. were awarded with Honorary Diploma of East-Kazakhstan branch of the Republican Board “Organization of veterans”.

Also in September 2014 primary UKTMP veterans organization was awarded with Diploma of Central Republican Board “Organization of veterans” for achievements made along with veterans movement.

In 2015, 7 pensioners of UKTMP improved their health by obtaining bonus voucher in Kazakhstan sanatorias and 346 people spent vacations in Bukhtarma recreation zone.

By the 70th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, UKTMP provided great material assistance to each participant of the Great Patriotic War.

 Additionally by the 70th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War upon request of UKTMP Veterans Board, Popov Ivan Petrovich, participant of the Great Patriotic War was awarded with one-room flat by the Akimat of Ust-Kamenogorsk city. 



In December 1986, Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium and Magnesium Plant (UKTMP) established COUNCIL OF VETERANS.

Currently, number of veterans is 1 706 persons. Among them:

  • 10 veterans of the Great Patriotic War;
  • 446 homefront workers;
  • 1 149 labor veterans of the plant.

Council of veterans consists of 27 persons.

Number of people in the council of veterans is associated with dispersion of veterans by residence, from Ablaketka to Zaschita, from Sogra to SFP.

In order to maintain continuous contact with the Council, veterans are divided into 26 participants by residence.


Veterans are rendered charity and welfare assistance:

  • for Victory Day;
  • for Day for the Elderly;
  • for New Year;
  • persons celebrating 60, 70, 80, 90 anniversary who previously worked at the plant;
  • for medical treatment and dental prosthetics;
  • for medical service (surgery);
  • funeral costs.

Veterans, according to the application and doctor’s opinion, are given privileged tickets for sanitary and resort treatment and recreation base “Volna”.

Grandchildren of veterans (by application) are given tickets to the Children recreation center (CRC) named after K.Satpayev.
