UKTMP pays special attention to a healthy lifestyle. For many years, there have been many sections in the sports hall of the Combine for employees, their children and all residents of the village of Novaya Sogra. As long-term practice shows, their students often become cup winners at various national and world-class competitions.
For example, our athlete Nikita Lozhnikov, a pupil of the head of the sports complex of workshop No. 6, Rustam Malikov, became the winner of the Armwrestling World Cup that recently ended in Uzbekistan. Athletes from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Belarus, Hong Kong, Japan, China, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, and India competed for the prestigious trophy.
Nikita competed in the adult category in the weight class up to 80 kilograms, He fought with his left hand, and despite one loss, he managed to defeat his opponent in the final," says Rustam Malikov, the coach of the UKTMK armwrestling school.
– In this sport, you can fight up to two losses, and I am very happy., that my pupil managed to pull himself together and show the best result. Rustam added that he was very proud of his pupil. It's not the first time he's shown similar results. Nikita Lozhnikov is currently preparing for the qualifying stage of the Kazakhstan championship., After that, it is an honor to represent the school of the Combine at the Asian championship, which will be held in New Delhi, India.
– It is important to note that Nikita moved to Astana not so long ago, and at the same time he continues to study with me. We conduct training online. And of course, we arrange training camps when he comes to Ust-Kamenogorsk," added Rustam Malikov. Perseverance and the desire to become the best version of himself allowed Nikita Lozhnikov to achieve heights, gain fortitude, perseverance and the right worldview. But it's not for nothing that they say: "The teacher continues in his pupil." Because the sports history of coach Rustam Malikov himself is no less vivid.
– My classmate invited me to go to the gym. But the other kids had arm wrestling practice that day. So they offered to spar with them., – Rustam Malikov recalls. – It so happened that I beat everyone, and my talent was noticed by coach Andrey Malakhov.
Under the strict guidance of the coach, two years later, Rustam became the winner of the Republic Championship in Astana. But as it turned out later, it was only the beginning of his successful sports career. In 2011, 2012 and 2013, Rustam Malikov, a graduate of the UKTMK arm wrestling school, became a world champion and also received the title of Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. And when Rustam was at the next international tournament in Italy, he passed the exam and certification, thereby getting the opportunity to be a judge of the competition.
– I believe that we need to continue to involve children and youth in a healthy lifestyle, so that they don't have to sit on their phones at home, but see their successes and be proud of themselves! – said Rustam Malikov. – I want the pupils of the UKTMK arm wrestling school to raise our flag on the world stage. To do this, I try to pass on the knowledge that I once received from my coaches. Rustam noted that he teaches not only proper technique and tactics, but also not to be afraid of an opponent in any case.
– It is always important to understand that you have to show yourself without paying attention to others. The main thing is to be confident," said the coach. Now many of Rustam's students are already continuing their independent path, some are also passing on their knowledge to others, and others are engaged in self-development. To date, Rustam Malikov employs 20 people of different ages.
The training sessions take place three times a week. In the classes, special attention is paid to each muscle group, stretching and the ability to distribute force evenly throughout the body, since in arm wrestling it is important that the athlete stands firmly on his feet.
– Absolutely all the successes of our students are the merit of Asem Mamutova, President of UKTMP JSC. It is only thanks to the support of the Plant that we can train in a comfortable gym and conquer Kazakhstani and world arenas," says Rustam Malikov.Despite his busy coaching schedule, Rustam continues to conquer the world with his experience and talent, participating in various competitions in different regions of Kazakhstan and countries around the world.
– Sport is not only about muscle strength, it is primarily about perception of the world., – He added. – Even now, if I have free time, I always choose sports. For example, to play volleyball, football, badminton, or, of course, arm wrestling.
Indeed, sport allows you to make new friends, show yourself and actively develop through the exchange of experience.
